Interior Decorating

Design Vs. Decorating In a Nutshell

While there is some overlap in interior design and interior decorating, they are fundamentally different. Interior design is the art and science of understanding people’s behavior to create functional spaces within a building, while interior decorating is the furnishing or adorning of a space with decorative elements to achieve a certain aesthetic. In short, interior designers may decorate, but decorators do not design.

Curtaining and Blinds

What do you know about dressing your windows? A room without a window feels claustrophobic and stuffy. There is an absence of good air circulation and most people do not like it! To dress the blinds, we often choose between curtains or blinds – sometimes we incorporate both! They are as important as the colours we paint on our walls, as it takes up a significant amount of vertical space.

What are the functions of curtains and blinds? It regulates sunlight (the tropical heat can cause a heat stroke sometimes), enhances the beauty of your home (depending on your fabric), keeps the room cool, and keeps the dust out!

Upholstery

The role of upholstery in workplace settings can greatly influence the function of a product. Whether you choose a natural fabric to provide warmth and comfort or use a leather for high traffic areas that require frequent cleaning, the choice of the upholstery option is an important part of specifying workplace furniture.
Shopping for furniture is very confusing because there is so much to consider. Your quest for choosing the right upholstery will not just rely on your budget and designs. Among the considerations will be: modern or classic? Low or high back? Detachable or fixed cushions? With this, another question is essential: leather or fabric?
